Research

Doing research into health and the delivery of healthcare services is vitally important to the NHS because the outcomes can be used to influence the quality of services delivered to patients.

This means that patients are able to gain access to the best available treatments and services, which have been rigorously tested, as well as innovative and leading edge treatments that can significantly improve health outcomes.

In the Cardiac Surgery team, each of our consultants have specialist research interests. On this page we detail some of the recent research presentations and publications that have been made by the team.
